About GIA (Gardening In Action) CIC
GIA (Gardening In Action) CIC aims to increase access to gardening and volunteering in green spaces, particularly to disadvantaged groups.
Projects so far include: an ongoing horticultural ‘into-work’ scheme, providing training and mentoring for jobseekers; supporting volunteer community groups in the local area and throughout East Sussex with practical advice and support, free and subsidised gardening workshops for adults and children and reduced rate workshops and talks for community groups. Gardening In Action set up and runs the Peverells Community Garden in Seaford, in partnership with Roots Rising C.I.C.
